ATX12V 2.0 builds upon ATX12V, providing power requirements for
Intel's current generation CPU architecture and PCI Express. Key changes are: (1) Replacing existing main board
2 x 10 [20 pin] connector with a 2 x 12
[24 pin] connector. The 24 pin board connector supports PCI
Express's 75W power requirements. (2) Increased +12V output capability including creation of
a second +12V "rail". The two +12V outputs operate independently, one CPU dedicated and one
for I/O, including the PCI Express bus. (3) Removal of 6 pin auxiliary connector and (4)
increase minimum efficiency to 70%.
